The cover of this magazine shows an illustration of a Crinoline Lady design. Woman’s Pictorial was first published in September 1919 as The Family Pictorial, which was issued by Alfred Harmsworth’s Amalgamated Press. The Family Pictorial stopped its run in September 1920 only to continue as Woman’s Pictorial till February 1956. It was a weekly British fashion and homemaking magazine. Such magazines were imported after World War Two and sold at various bookshops in Singapore.
